Sweden's Treehotel Unveils Biosphere Room Surrounded by 350 Birdhouses

Sweden's renowned Treehotel has introduced a new accommodation called the Biosphere room, designed to immerse guests in nature and promote local birdlife. This unique room, situated in Harads, Sweden, is characterized by its exterior, which is completely covered with 350 birdhouses. The concept aims to provide a habitat for birds while offering guests an unparalleled experience of being surrounded by the natural world.

The Biosphere room is a collaborative effort, with architecture by Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) and ornithological expertise from Ulf Öhman, chairman of the Norrbotten Ornithological Association. The design integrates the structure seamlessly into the forest canopy, making it appear as a natural extension of the trees. Beyond its aesthetic appeal, the primary goal of the birdhouses is to attract various bird species, contributing to the local ecosystem and allowing guests to observe avian life up close.

Inside, the room features a minimalist and luxurious design, offering panoramic views of the surrounding forest.
